Nomad Skateboarding is ran and currently held together by Mark Andrew (that’s a first name, like Billy Bob but from New England).
You can find me on my personal site markandrewskates.com, on Instagram @mark.andrew.skates, and I write under my own name for Nomad Skateboarding here @nomadskating. Contact me directly: Click to open email client and send message.
The content on this site and our sister sites, howtoskateboardforbeginners.com & coreskateboard.com, has no ads, no paywalls, and will always be free.
Currently we have Mark Andrew from Massachusetts and Kate from Alaska, but we are actively looking for people with a passion for skateboarding with something to contribute to the community.
All of our contributors receive monthly payments based on a percentage of Nomad Skateboarding’s monthly donations.
Yes. Yes I am. If you’re involved in skateboarding and need a new website or help with your current one for your business, skateshop, or personal site, please contact Mark Andrew by clicking these words. If you’re able to then donate support, fucking awesome. If you can’t, there’s no expectations.
Yes. Yes I am. Yes, on a regular (8.5) skateboard. Yes, with regular (54mm) wheels. And a backpack with my life in it.
All of Nomad Skateboarding’s and Mark Andrew’s income and expenses can be found below in our Open Financials table and timeline.
We immediately give back 10% of all donations to the skate community. Any contributor receives 10%. Mark Andrew receives 80%.
Our end goal is a collective. Mark Andrew’s percentage will continually drop once we’re above $300 monthly (the amount for him to survive on). The contributors and our direct donations will increase commensurately. All energy and resources as we grow will be directly focused back at the skateboarding community.
